What Are You Waiting For?

“But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Mark 13:32)

Are you ready? No, not for work tomorrow. Are you ready for Heaven?

The Gospel for today gives us a heart-check that is worth taking to prayer. Jesus reminds us that we do not know the day nor the hour that we will go before the Lord. It is a true gift that we are able to prepare our hearts now for Heaven to be the place where we will abide with the Lord for eternity.

What are you waiting for? Let’s live as if Heaven is on the line, because it is! Let us resolve to live lives of holiness, seeking to glorify God in all that we do. Today, may we choose to live boldly and courageously, recognizing that every little thing we do is able to lead us closer to Heaven.

How can I prepare my heart for Heaven now?

Oh, Good Jesus, thank You for making Heaven accessible to me. Help me to live in a way that prepares me to be with You forever. Amen.
