Strengthened in Fear

Two months after September 11, 2001, another tragedy struck as there was a plane crash in New York City. Many died that day. May God have mercy on their souls.
I was a New York State resident at the time, but was in Tampa for a few days off. I was sitting in a Tampa area airport, waiting for my flight back to New York. At that time, no one knew the cause of the plane crash. Needless to say, I was very nervous.
As I sat there, filled with nervous energy, I remember at one point I prayed to the Lord, giving it all to Him, and accepting my fate that day. In that moment, instant peace passed through me, and for the remainder of my wait, I was completely calm.
Sometimes it’s not easy, but when we completely submit to God’s will, our weak knees can be strengthened.
Is there a struggle in your life that makes you fearful, and that needs to be handed over to God?
Heavenly Father, as the Prophet Isaiah teaches us today, help us to bring our fears to You, and to accept Your will for us. Amen.
