The Strongest Man

"When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters." (Luke 11:21-23)

My dad was the strongest man I knew. Believing that as a child wasn't just a belief about my dad, it was a belief about me and my family. Dad's strength meant that my family was safe. I now know and believe what this scripture says of Jesus.

He is strong enough to overcome a strong man--and He has done so for you and I. Jesus has demonstrated His strength by overcoming the ruler of this world. He has done this for His family, for you and I.

Do you believe that Jesus is the strongest man and that He is strong for you?

Jesus, I ask for the grace to perceive your strength for my life. Amen.
