It is the First Tuesday of Advent and today, we see Jesus rejoicing in the Holy Spirit “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.”( Luke 10:21) because the Lord has revealed the Wisdom of the Kingdom of God. This can be a reminder to be thankful for the gifts of life and love. In prayer, we can be grateful for the goodness, gifts, and faith of others, especially people who are significant in our lives.

Do I count my blessings and thank God for the gifts of life and love?

Holy Spirit, I am extremely grateful for all Your blessings in my life, Lord. I pray that You remind me of how blessed I am and that You never allow me to forget to show my gratitude in prayer and returned acts of kindness. Teach me to respond and to grow in gratitude, Amen.
