Forgiven

"Then the Lord changed His Mind and decided not to harm His people." (Exodus 32:14)

Have you ever done something so bad that you wondered on what basis God could forgive you? The concept of God's forgiveness is a central theme throughout the Bible; His mercy, grace, and love towards humanity.

In today's first reading from Exodus, we read about God's willingness to forgive in His dealing with Israelites. Even though the Israelites turned away from God, He "decided not to harm His people." - Exodus 32:14.

It is the same with us today. God spares us, forgives us, and looks at us with favor because of what Jesus Christ has done for us.

As we approach the Holy Week, let us remind ourselves that our God is always forgiving and loving. Let us share His love with others in our daily lives.

Do you believe that God forgives all your mistakes?

Lord Jesus, thank you for suffering for me, and help me to remain close to you always. Amen.
