This project was a meaningful opportunity for young adults from parishes throughout the Diocese of Saint Petersburg to come together in service, fellowship, and witness to the faith through action. From painting and landscaping to preparation and cleanup, we were grateful for the chance to make a tangible difference in the life of a Tampa resident.

YCP Tampa is the local chapter of Young Catholic Professionals, a national organization dedicated to helping men and women in their 20s and 30s integrate faith, work, and community. Founded in Tampa in 2023, the chapter offers networking events, speaker series, service opportunities, and spiritual formation, all aimed at helping young professionals find Christ in the workplace while building authentic friendships. YCP Tampa continues to grow as a vibrant community for young Catholics seeking purpose, excellence, and holiness in everyday life.  

Paint Your Heart Out Tampa (PYHOT) is a longstanding nonprofit organization that has been providing free exterior house painting for low-income seniors, veterans, and disabled homeowners for the past 36 years. Each year close to 100 volunteer teams from businesses, churches, and civic organizations help refresh homes in a single day, bringing dignity, hope, and renewed pride to homeowners across the city. Since its inception PYHOT has painted over 3,100 homes in Tampa and YCP was honored to be part of this mission and looks forward to continuing to serve the Tampa Bay community in the future.
