Tampa Bay Businesses Partner with Spirit FM

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, partners of Spirit FM 90.5 gathered at the Mary Martha Center on the campus of Christ the King Catholic Church for an Underwriter & Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

Spirit FM’s underwriters include a long list of local businesses ranging from doctors to home maintenance and repair specialists. These loyal benefactors partner with the station and offer financial support to help keep the ministry on air.

The luncheon, led by station manager John Morris, featured introductions to Spirit FM’s staff and a presentation highlighting Spirit FM memories throughout its almost four decades of providing faith-filled music and conversation in the greater Tampa Bay area. Underwriters were able to enjoy lunch together, spend time with members of the Spirit FM family, and were then presented with trophies in recognition of their support of the station.

In addition to serving as the radio ministry of the Diocese of Saint Petersburg, Spirit FM also serves the entire listening community as part of its evangelization mission. To continue and grow this ministry, Morris unveiled prospective plans for the future, including an upcoming concert to celebrate the station’s 40th anniversary, an endowment campaign to ensure its future, a pilgrimage to Rome, live Masses celebrated and broadcasted from within the studio, and participation and promotion of the Diocese’s 1,000,000 Acts of Mercy Challenge.

To conclude the event, the underwriters were invited to tour Spirit FM’s studios and record promos to be used on air.

“This is a ministry that is reaching into our community, it’s touching so many lives. I, myself, have enjoyed listening to this station for going on 30 years now, and it’s been a part of my life, my family’s lives, and it continues to be,” shared Maria Hoffman of Tampa Home Group. “And I just am so grateful to be here in Tampa Bay where we have a ministry like this. We are so blessed and fortunate.”
