J’Nia is coached by Tia Peoples, a former Track and Field powerhouse at the University of South Florida, who says, “What she did last year was serious but to bring in 2 state titles individually on her own in one day is a massive task to take down. She's worked extremely hard over the last 6 years and is now bringing in state titles back to back and I'm sure over the next two years even more. I take a lot of pride in the work I do with her. She definitely deserves the success she is achieving.”
J’Nia’s success in track and field has made her a 19-time National Champion, 20-time All-American and the current record holder in shot put and discus for all Florida Middle Schools. Last June, she won the shot put event at the New Balance Outdoor Championships in Philadelphia. Additionally, she was awarded the Joel Ferrell Award at the 2023 AAU Junior Olympic Games. This recognition is compared to an MVP award that she won over 11,000 athletes that competed.
