On November 23rd, the community of Saint Rita Catholic Church in Dade City gathered for a joyful procession to honor Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.
Participants walked together, offering public witness to His real presence in the Eucharist and His reign over their lives. Through time spent in prayer, song, and adoration, the procession deepened the community’s love for the Eucharist and strengthened their unity as the Body of Christ. Streets were lined with parishioners holding banners, rosaries, and images of Christ the King, as the faithful walked with reverence and gratitude, allowing Christ the King to lead them closer to His Kingdom of Peace and Mercy.
The sound of hymns filled the air, creating a sense of unity and devotion that drew in those who were simply passing by. The procession moved slowly through the heart of downtown Dade City, led by the Monstrance and crucifix and followed by clergy, altar servers, families, and various ministry groups. Participants prayed aloud the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary in English, Spanish, and Latin—some quietly, others joining in song—all walking together in witness to their faith. The sight of the Monstrance, carried with care and reverence, invited many to quiet reflection as the procession followed the familiar streets.
Along the way, key sites, such as Catholic Charities in Dade City, were blessed. At the final stop, the Dade City Courthouse, the community knelt together for a moment of adoration and blessing. Joy and love were evident on the faces of those present, filling the celebration with a profound sense of peace and hope. The day reminded all of Christ’s Kingship—not only over the world but also within their hearts and community. The procession became more than a public display of faith; it was a shared spiritual experience that inspired and strengthened everyone who participated.
