On August 19, 2026, Jasmine Pujol will be leaving the Diocese of Saint Petersburg to continue her discernment with the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, frequently referred to as SOLT. While such a step may appear as radical or counter-cultural, for Jasmine it’s a matter of continuing to say “yes” to Jesus.  

After time in college, Jasmine served as a NET missionary after perceiving the Lord’s call to serve Him. That one yes led to the subsequent decision to serve as a youth minister at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clearwater for 9 years. “While I was a youth minister I learned more about how to love those entrusted to me,” said Pujol. “It was such a blessing to journey through the ups, downs, and all in between of the young people.” Following her time as a youth minister she once again experienced the tug on her heart to follow the Lord into the Office of Vocations where she served as the Administrative Assistant for five years. She believes that having practiced being attentive to the Lord in prayer and saying “yes” in the small moments “have led to, not only a deeper relationship with the Lord, but an openness to say “yes” to entering religious life.”

While some may think that discerning a call to priesthood or religious life would erase fears or doubts, Jasmine instead has noted how she’s been invited to surrender those fears to the Lord in prayer. She reflects on one of her visits to the community, saying, “There was a moment during the week where I felt the weight of the fears and anxieties about religious life. I went into the chapel and told the Lord all of the things that were weighing on my heart. I felt immense peace and a reassurance of His providence but didn’t know how it would resolve. During the rest of the week with the sisters, each one of those questions were being answered. It felt like I was faced with, what felt like, mountains, and the Lord was flattening them in order for me to keep going towards Him.”

Jasmine will be joining a community which was placed in her life while assisting a young adult retreat in the diocese. While it can be intimidating to discern “which” order of religious one may be called to, she visited a community she had experienced and found that “my week with them truly felt like being at home.”

Jasmine will continue her discernment of the Lord’s calling and looking for the next opportunity to say “yes” to Him as an aspirant with the sisters. We have much to be proud of in Jasmine. She witnesses to us what should be an ordinary thing, saying “yes” to the Lord, and trusting when it leads to an extra-ordinary call.
