Summit Young Adult Night of Worship

WHEN: 7:00 p.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession, 8:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Mass

WHERE: Our Lady of Divine Providence House of Prayer 702 S. Bayview Ave., Clearwater

Young adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to attend Summit, a special event for fellowship and renewal. Silence the noise in your life and spend time in silence with Jesus in the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith.

40 Days for Life

September 27-November 5, 2023,

Tampa Women’s Health, 2010 E. Fletcher Ave., Tampa

The 40 Days for Life campaign aims to end abortion through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day prayer vigil in front of abortion businesses. You can sign up to pray for one day or multiple days. The Diocese of St. Petersburg will have prayer vigils at three different locations in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Our goal is to save lives and to have a large, peaceful/prayerful presence outside of these three abortion facilities.

Diocesan Hispanic Mass with Bishop Gregory Parkes

The Diocesan Hispanic Mass is an opportunity for the community to gather together with Bishop Gregory Parkes to pray in thanksgiving for the contributions of the Hispanic Catholic community in West Central Florida.

Light of Hope Gala with Bishop Gregory Parkes

This gala benefits LifeChoices Family Medical, a nonprofit, prolife healthcare clinic that is in line with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

All Souls Mass

November 2, 2023,

WHERE: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 11801 U.S. Highway 19 N., Clearwater

On All Souls’ Day, Catholics pray for dearly departed loved ones. Bishop Gregory Parkes will be celebrating an outdoor Mass at Calvary Catholic Cemetery for all souls. The Catholic Church teaches that souls are separated from the body at death, and souls may need to be purified from sins or past transgressions. The faithful are encouraged to help their loved ones who have died through prayers, almsgiving, and especially the sacrifice of the Mass.

Religious Jubilee Mass

November 4, 2023,

WHEN: 11:00 a.m.

WHERE: Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, 5815 5th Ave. N., St. Petersburg

During the Religious Jubilee Mass, religious-order priests, brothers, and sisters reaffirm their vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Participants pray for all religious, including those who serve in education, healthcare, and Church leadership and those who are ill, elderly, retired, or deceased. Bishop Gregory Parkes will thank the religious men and women, especially the jubilarians who are celebrating special anniversaries of their profession of vows.
