Each year, the Vatican expresses the unity of Catholics with the pope by organizing the Peter’s Pence Collection. This year, the collection will take place June 28-29, 2026.
This collection supports the pope’s mission to proclaim a message of peace, unity, and mercy to the world. Supported by Catholics globally, these gifts fund the ongoing activities of the Holy See and help the Holy Father reach out to those who are suffering.
The gifts collected provide Pope Leo XIV with assistance in meeting the two goals of Peter’s Pence: to support the mission of the Holy Father and to support the variety of charitable works needed in the world. These benefit those who live on the margins of society including those affected by natural disaster and war, or those who need humanitarian assistance.
