Media Campaign Makes It Easy to Find a Catholic Church This Easter
It’s a beloved tradition that happens each Easter. Children search for hidden eggs, and families search for a church for an Easter service.
It’s a beloved tradition that happens each Easter. Children search for hidden eggs, and families search for a church for an Easter service.
This year, the Catholic Diocese of Saint Petersburg is making it easier for families to find a Church to celebrate Easter Mass by pointing them to a helpful website that connects people to Catholic churches across West Central Florida.
Starting March 31 and throughout April, drivers in West Central Florida will see eye-catching billboards that are part of a media campaign to show families where to find a Catholic church. The billboard shows a garden scene with blooming flowers. An Easter egg, showcasing a beautiful local church painted on it, is prominently positioned in the scene. The message is clear and inviting: "The Easter Hunt Is Over!"—pointing people to MyCatholicMass.org, a one-stop resource for finding a church with just a few clicks.
Whether you’re a regular churchgoer, returning to Mass after some time away, or exploring the Catholic faith for the first time, MyCatholicMass.org helps people find a welcoming community this Easter.
There will be at least one billboard in each of the Diocese’s five counties: Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas, ensuring that people all around Tampa Bay will see this invitation.
This media campaign is part of the Diocese’s Pastoral Plan, “A Call to Conversion,” launched by Bishop Gregory Parkes last October.
It directly supports goal #9.2 of the Pastoral Plan that states, “The Pastoral Center, in collaboration with parishes and schools, will create a broad, multi-faceted effort to invite people to Mass, participate in the sacraments, and engage or re-engage with the Church.”
