Students from the area’s Catholic high schools along with one private school will compete in Saint Leo University’s annual Brain Bowl on Wednesday, March 26.
Students from the area’s Catholic high schools along with one private school will compete in Saint Leo University’s annual Brain Bowl on Wednesday, March 26.
This academic battle will find the students’ knowledge of languages, the arts, popular culture, physics, math, biology, history, and more tested as they compete in a trivia-type contest.
The final round begins at 12:30 p.m. and is open to the public. It takes place at Saint Leo University’s Wellness Center gym, located on the lower level, 33701 County Road 52, St. Leo, FL 33574. (Note: This address often comes up as Priory Circle in Google).
Last year’s winning Brain Bowl team was Jesuit High School with first-time competitors Academy of the Lakes as runner-up.
Teams competing include:
Santa Fe Catholic High School, Lakeland, FL;
Clearwater Central Catholic High School, Clearwater, FL;
Jesuit High School, Tampa, FL;
St. Petersburg Catholic High School, St. Petersburg, FL;
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School, Shady Hills, FL;
Tampa Catholic High School, Tampa, FL; and,
Academy at the Lakes, Land O’ Lakes, FL.
