Catholic Conference for Men to Focus on Manliness and Holy Virtues

Catholic men from around Tampa Bay are invited to attend the 14th Annual Men’s Conference on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa.

The theme this year is Catholic Manliness with a focus on the challenges and virtues of living every moment as an authentic Catholic man in the modern world. Guest speakers include, Bear Woznick, a championship surfer, who is also a pilot and a black belt; Gus Lloyd, host of Seize the Day on SiriusXM; and Father Israel Hernandez, Parochial Vicar of St. Paul Catholic Church in Tampa.

Jeff Joaquin, one of the event organizers stated, “Scripture tells us that we must always be ready for battle and be able to withstand the flaming arrows of the enemy, and this is very necessary in our day and age. But we must never lose sight of the perfect example of servant leadership set by St. Joseph, who showed us how to support, guide, and protect our families, as we lead ourselves and them to heaven as virtuous Catholic men.”

The conference will begin at 6:30 a.m. with a Rosary. Mass at 8:00 a.m. and the conference program from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. There will be adoration and reconciliation available throughout the day.

The cost per person is $60 with a special 2-for-1 Father/Son combo offer. The cost for High School and College students who attend alone is $30. Clergy and other religious receive free admission. The ticket cost includes a breakfast snack and lunch.
