TV Ad Invites Community to Mass for Easter

The sacred mission of the Diocese of St. Petersburg calls us to proclaim the Good News and invite all people to encounter the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

One way the Diocese of St. Petersburg is living out that call is through a :30 second commercial with Bishop Gregory Parkes that is airing April 13-April 16, 2022, on Spectrum Cable in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties. The commercial (below) invites people to open their hearts to the joy of Easter. The video is also being advertised on YouTube and a radio version is airing on Spirit FM 90.5

The commercial will air close to 400 times, on various channels, including Bay News 9, Lifetime, Lifetime Movie Network, Hallmark, Hallmark Movie Network, the History Channel. A version with Spanish subtitles will air on Galavision and WAPA-TV. The campaign will reach an estimated 421,000 screens.  The commercial will be seen in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Citrus and Hernando counties. The commercial directs people to visit a webpage to find a local Catholic church: www.ParishNearMe.org.

“God has called you to be his beloved sons and daughters, and he desires to have a personal relationship with you,” says Bishop Parkes in the ad.

Since Easter is a time to welcome new and returning people, the Diocese is reminding parishes about best practices in hospitality by sharing this link.
