Help Your Family Grow in Holiness

Attend the Diocesan Marian Congress on May 11th

To help families overcome difficulties and divisions, the Diocese of St. Petersburg is presenting a special event on Saturday, May 11th that will focus on Mary, Joseph, and the Eucharist: Forming a Holy Family.

In addition to providing much needed guidance, prayer and inspiration, speakers at the Sixth Annual Marian Congress will share their insights to help families grow in holiness.

In fact, three of the presenters are a holy family: Deacon Elix Castro, his wife Lucy and their son Father Elixavier “Xavy” Castro. These keynote speakers will discuss challenges they have faced and overcome. Also, Father Carlos Rojas will speak on the beauty of the Mass and what it means to be consecrated to Mary.

The event will include Eucharistic Adoration, praying of the Rosary in English, Igbo, Filipino, Spanish, and Vietnamese, and the closing Mass at 4:00 p.m. During the Mass, participants will renew their Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary or recite the Consecration prayer for the first time. Each year, the Diocese of St. Petersburg renews the consecration from 2018.

Over 1,300 people gathered at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle on Sunday, May 6, 2018, to pray during a Holy Hour as Bishop Gregory Parkes consecrated the Diocese of St. Petersburg to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Making a consecration is an act of love and love needs to be constantly renewed. Renewing your consecration means giving yourself again to Jesus in and through the Heart of Mary.
